When is National Superhero Day?
National Superhero Day is April 28th.
What is National Superhero Day?
We need heroes. We need models of bravery and devotion to justice. Supervillains, step aside. National Superhero Day celebrates our favorite comic book superheroes, as well as the real heroes who daily put their lives on the line.
Anyone can be a hero, right? All it takes is bravery when the odds aren’t good, persistence when the going gets tough, and dedication to serve people and protect them from evil and oppression. So, that’s quite a list. Despite the high barrier of entry though, regular Joes and Janes reach hero status every day.
The Marvel Comics team created National Superhero Day in 1995 to celebrate heroes in real life and in fiction. Just like the comic book superheroes, firemen, police officers, soldiers, and ordinary civilians regularly display bravery in the face of danger. National Superhero Day celebrates their heroism.
