When is National Techies Day?
October 3rd is National Techies Day.
What is National Techies Day?
The World Wide Web sits in our pockets, and our phones talk to our cars. Technology surrounds us. As the tech industry continues to boom and the need for more techies continues to grow, National Techies Day urges young people to pursue careers in technology.
This day has evolved a bit over the years. Techies.com (which has since shut down) and CNET Networks created National Techies Day in 1998 to promote tech jobs. It still performs the same function these days, but more and more techies use this day as a chance to celebrate working in the technology sector.
By promoting the tech profession, National Techies Day celebrates the growing importance of technology in modern life.
