When is National Kristopher NaJee Roebuck Day? This day will take place on October 22 of each calendar year.
What is National Kristopher NaJee Roebuck Day?
Kris Roebuck, who was a son, brother, father of three beautiful children, lost his life due to gun violence on October 22, 2018, in Anderson, South Carolina. He was only 22 years old. There are many people that looked up to him, and some even try to keep his name alive by continuing to use his catchphrases such as (“Nah For Real , Baby Girl”), just to name a few. We started the Kris Roebuck business in 2019 and as a trend, we encourage people to post using #LLKR (Long Live Kris Roebuck). This day will be in honor of him, and a strong movement to keep his name alive.
Why is this day being celebrated or observed?
We are creating this day to encourage people to stop the violence, love on each other, be respectful, but most importantly to bring awareness to various communities and different nationalities. If you know something… say something. We are all human. With that being said, bringing forth awareness not just for gun violence, but domestic violence, police brutality, etc. We want to keep the name of Kris Roebuck alive forever so that he will not be forgotten. Think twice, save a life. However, his case is now closed, but we encourage anyone with information to reach out to the authorities.
How should this day be celebrated or observed?
A national day motorcycle ride. Motorcycles from all walks of life participate in an annual bike ride to keep the name of Kris Roebuck alive, and as always to remember those we’ve lost that perhaps we do not know, and to encourage once again for everyone to stop the violence. Coming together as a unified group can make a difference in the world.
