The day is celebrated on February 6th to commemorate the birth of two eighties icons, President Ronald Reagan and singer Rick Astley
How do you celebrate?
The standard way to celebrate the holiday is to dress up in 1980s or 1980s style clothing, to watch movies and TV shows from the 1980s, to listen to 1980s music, have a 1980s themed event, or to simply take interest in learning about something from the 1980s. Also, a standard dish to eat on Eighties Day is Pizza with Soda pop, Pizza Parlor sides (e.g., Chef Salad, chicken wings, etc.) and Ice Cream for dessert (preferably Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough).
