When is Kent Flew the Coop Day? This day will take place on June 27 of each calendar year.

What is Kent Flew the Coop Day? This day honors the resilience, bravery and GRIT of the patients, families and providers affected by Primary Lateral Sclerosis. Kent Flew the Coop represents freedom from an incurable and physically debilitating disease.

Why is this day being created? This day is being created in honor of my father, Kent Cooper. Kent Cooper is an Army veteran, exemplary Father, devoted Husband, cancer survivor with unsurpassed integrity. Embodying the very essence of a fighter’s spirit, Kent Cooper faces each day with resilience, bravery and GRIT. His unwavering will to adapt and rise above Primary Lateral Sclerosis is inspiring. This day is not only to honor him, the families and providers affected by this incurable disease, but also to provide awareness and hope for a cure.

How should this day be celebrated or observed? Honor the men and women suffering from PLS by raising awareness of the disease through public education, fundraising for researching the disease and supporting the members of the PLS community.
