What is Income Tax Refund Day? This day is the first day that refunds will be released from the IRS, due to the PATH Act.
The Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act was created in order to protect taxpayers and their families against fraud and permanently extend many expiring tax laws. The law, which was enacted in December of 2015, affects the timing of certain refunds filed before February 15, 2017.
