What is this month? Global Company Culture Month is a month for companies all over the world to celebrate great Company Cultures and explore how to make broken Company Cultures better. The entire month is focused on highlighting what companies are doing to get it right, resources that are available to improve your Company Culture, and create a Global dialogue about how we can make the world of work a better place.
Only 16% of Executives say their Company Culture is where it needs to be. The Global employee engagement rate is 15%. Only 15% of people say they love their jobs. There is an absolute direct correlation between these staggering statistics. Everything has changed including the way we live, shop, travel, connect and more. Unfortunately, the world of work has not changed with it. We are using outdated models of work and management and it is no wonder that the modern worker is dragged down by that.
Most people spend a large portion of their life at work. Getting Company Cultures right across the Globe deserves an entire month of focus so we can create a knew model for work where people thrive.
Who created this month? This month was founded by the Global Company Culture Association in 2019.
How should this month be celebrated?
- Plan a month of activities to focus on your Company Culture and look for ways to improve it. This could include bringing in speakers, planning outings, putting on a Company Culture Awards to reward the top Culture influencers at your company and more.
- Hold a Company Culture Bootcamp where selected team members carve out one to two weeks to focus solely on understanding the dynamics of Company Culture and crafting a strategy and implementation plan to improve your company’s Company Culture.
- Schedule visits to companies known for their Company Culture to go see what you can learn from them.
